She was also a tutor at Heartland Community College’s tutoring center. She is now teaching a class as a retired annuitant at Illinois State University. When her children were growing up, she tutored many students and was the volunteer for the gifted and talented program. She is also certified as a substitute teacher for Unit 5 and District 87. Outside of academia, she loves swimming, traveling, cooking, and eating different cuisines!

Talia is currently a student at the University of South Carolina studying Neuroscience in the Honors College. She has been tutoring middle school and high school students for many years. She was both a math and writing tutor at U-High, and has continued tutoring since. She is the second oldest of six kids, and would love the opportunity to tutor both younger and older students. She has been involved in many sports throughout her life, including competitive gymnastics, track, cross country, and soccer, and loves to sing.
